Community Clean-up
Vine Street Baptist Church is encouraging members and friends to participate in a community cleanup. In conjunction with Louisville Metro Mayor, Greg Fischer, and his “Give a Day” volunteer initiative, VSBC will join Southern Seminary’s 1937 Project to help nearby Irish Hill Neighborhood Association in cleaning trash and debris from the Baxter Station Train Depot.
On April 20th, gather at the parking lot of Baxter Avenue Baptist Church, 522 Baxter Avenue by 9am (come a bit early, as they will serve volunteers coffee & donuts beginning at 8:30am). Bring your shovels, scoops, brooks, rakes and anything else you can think of to help cut back some debris and pick up trash. Bags and gloves will be provided.
This is a wonderful opportunity to show support of the city and the local community through the love of Christ we know and love.
