September 17, 2017 Morning Worship
Early fall brings many festivals and events to the Metro Louisville area. Saturday found many roads closed around the Germantown area to host some of those festivals. Those events did not prevent many members and guests from showing up the next morning for Sunday School and Worship.
The service began with Deacon Chandler Bainter read Isaiah 43:4-7 and said a prayer. Worship Pastor Jacob Hatcher led the gathered in an a capella singing of the Doxology.
After a time of greeting and fellowship, Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders gave a few announcements and then said a pastoral prayer. While the ushers collected the offering, Jacob led a song, then asked everyone to stand and sing.
- How Great Thou Art
- O Praise the Name
- The Power of the Cross

September 17, 2017 | 1 Corinthians 11:17-33 | Why the Lord’s Supper? | Spencer Harmon |
After the sermon, the congregation participated in the Lord’s Supper. After the elements were passed and taken, the gathered stood and sang There is a Fountain during a time of reflection. Spencer closed the service with an invitation for anyone to speak to a pastor after the service about church membership, becoming a Christian, or to discuss today’s sermon. Spencer read the benediction then dismissed the group.
