December 31, 2017 Morning Worship
Another cold weekend in December could not keep members and guests of Vine Street Baptist Church from gathering together in warm fellowship and deeper understanding of the Bible.
Today’s worship service started when Josh McCarthy read Psalm 111 and said an opening prayer. Jacob Hatcher played the guitar and he led everyone in singing Peace Like a River, while Jaime Hatcher played the piano.
After a time to greet everyone, Josh gave a few announcements and then said another prayer. The ushers collected the offering while Jacob and Jaime led more singing.
- Because He Lives
- In the Garden
- Holy Spirit

After the sermon, everyone stood and sang I Surrender All during a time of reflection.
Josh closed the service with an invitation for anyone to speak to a pastor after the service about church membership, becoming a Christian, or to discuss today’s sermon. He read a closing scripture and then dismissed the group.
