February 14, 2016 Morning Worship
A light dusting of snow could not keep members and guests of Vine Street Baptist from worshiping together.
The worship service started with Deacon Gary Cook reading Psalm 73:21-28 and offering a prayer. Jaime and Jacob Hatcher, Co-Worship Leaders, strapped on their guitars and led the gathered in some traditional hymns:
- Praise to the Lord
- Fairest Lord Jesus
Jacob invited everyone to spend a few minutes in fellowship and greeting one another, then Ken Lovett brought everyone back together again and presented a few announcements. Boyce student Josh Bertsch read Philippians 3:7-11, then the congregation continued worshiping through song.
- When My Heart is Torn Asunder
- Jesus Paid It All
Deacon Joe Gross said a prayer for the offering, then the Hatchers played instrumentally while the plates were passed.
Associate Pastor Ken Lovett delivered today’s message. This was the next message in multi-part sermon series on the book of 1st Timothy.
