January 14, 2018 Morning Worship
With the help of several members of the church, sidewalks and steps were cleared, parking lot prepared, allowing for members and guests of Vine Street Baptist Church to safely arrive and come inside for a warm time of fellowship, singing & worshiping, and listening to God’s word.
The service began with Associate Pastor of Youth Justin Francis reading Jeremiah 9:23-24 and saying a prayer. Nolan Hodge played the piano, while he led everyone in the song O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing.
For several minutes, the gathered spent some time greeting one another. Members said hello to guests and welcomed them warmly. Hugs and handshakes were many. Justin returned to the platform and gave a few announcements, then he said a pastoral prayer for some church concerns.
Nolan continued the service and led the congregation in additional songs, while the ushers collected the offering.
